When I tell my high school teachers that I’m now an adjunct professor, it’s something that’s hard for them to believe. Another career that I’ve found tremendous success with is my teaching career, as an adjunct professor of communications at Asnuntuck Community College in Enfield, Connecticut; where I also serve as the operations manager of the college’s radio station, 107.7 WACC.
In my five years at Asnuntuck Community College, I’ve progressively increased my responsibilities as the role has necessitated. I was honored with the Adjunct Of The Year award for the 2018-2019 academic year for my work within the Communications program, college, and in a leadership role in statewide meetings on behalf of Asnuntuck Community College.
Below, you can download my Intro To Mass Communication syllabus where I re-designed the course in a module format for better student outcomes.
I completed the first program review of the college’s communications program in over a decade in 2018; re-created the Introduction To Mass Communications class to better serve the needs and interests of students, and have fostered growth within the Audio Production, Advanced Audio Production, and Radio Practicum courses that I have taught over the last several years.
